GAM GAM loves thrift stores

17 weeks 4 days

Now the fun begins!! Since we have found out the sex, time sure is going quick, well its only been a week but this week FLEW by. Also I have become to actually look pregnant versus a girl that ate to many wings and drank to many pitchers of beer. Our blood work came back from the doctors, ALL test results were negative...phew I can finally relax and enjoy this a little more. HOWEVER I read the hormones were supposed to calm down a little more in the 2nd trimester but I am a RAGING bi*** to poor dear Roberto. Poor kid can not even give me a kiss without me wacking him. My lovely boyfriend is VERY touchy feely and I do not want ANYONE touching me these days, all I want to do is go to sleep with my boppy pillow with NO hands roaming anywhere THANKS!

Fun Fact: My wonderful mother has been a saint through this whole pregnancy... really I cherish her. However she has an extreme addiction to thrift stores and craigslist.

Now I'm not hating on her for this at all because believe it or not she has gotten a lot of super cute baby things that were really easy to clean for next to nothing. I made it very clear to my mother that when she started going insane inside these stores that I want mostly everything new for this baby. No clothes, no used shoes, no bibs with puke stains on them.. you get the drift. Up to this day she has been very good at what she has picked up and I actually have liked everything and I am willing you use them for the baby. Yesterday I think the fact that I was taking these hand me downs without throwing a fit was going to her head, so I recieve a wonderful facebook message from her "free breast pump on craigslist what ya think" oh what do I think??? Great idea mom perfect go grab a free breast pump off craigslist our baby will be drinking milk making this face everytime

Ultrasound Fun

17 weeks ITS A BOY

We got the confirmation on Friday that we are indeed having a baby boy! You may say 17 weeks that a little early, I seem to think so as well, however the lady said she is 99% sure we are having a boy. My original appointment was just go in and get blood work taken, my doctor had said absolutely NO ultrasound at this appointment. Every appointment starts with a PEE sample- I find this super awkward, because 1.) Roberto is just standing outside this room with a tiny bathroom waiting for me and can hear EVERYTHING and 2.) I never know what to do with the pee when Im done and there are no damn covers. So to make the situation more awkward I decided to take it out with me and put it on the counter. After looking back this was not the best place for the pee and probably will just keep it in the bathroom for the next appointment. We went in to get started on the blood work and I pretty much passed out when she took out 8 viles that I would need to fill. We had decided on doing ALL of the add-ons for the blood work, which includes: Down syndrome, HIV and CF.. the doctor had a good point if the insurance pays for them all why wouldn't you just get them, so we did. After they pulled out pretty much all my blood I got the ultrasound (took alot of whining but they finally agreed to it) And we got to see our baby BOY for the first time:)

Spring is here:)

Max Studio Maxi Skirt $30.00 @ Marshalls

Baby Bump @ 16 weeks & 3 days

Besides the purchase I just made for Maternity wear this is something NON maternity that I am obsessed with. Simple maxi shirt with a black V-neck tee shirt from Target. With the 85 degree weather we are now having in the Boston area I am finding it a little easier to dress. I also had to squeeze in there a belly picture because my friends are becoming itchy with more pics:)

Maternity Wear

Liz Lange Target $34.99
I caved in and bought my first pair of Maternity Pants. I use the phrase "caved in" loosely because I know sooner or later I would have to make this purchase. I decided it was time yesterday at around 11am when I felt it was best for me to unbutton my pants and kept them like this for the remainder of the day. I decided on these Liz Lange pants and when I put them on in the dressing room I thrilled I was a size 2 in maternity and also I was pissed at myself for not making this purchase sooner. These pants are the most comfortable thing I have ever put on. I highly recommend this brand to anyone expecting, great shape on your overall body and unbelievable comfort.

Also in exciting news my mom is finally starting to put together ideas for the shower. She found this idea on Pinterest for centerpieces and I am super inlove with it. All it is, is a vase with babies breath submerged in water with a floating candle. We will do the candle blue or pink depending on if we have a lad or lassie:)

We have our next appointment on Friday. We are doing a bunch of blood work for testing involving things like CF and Down Syndrome to name a few. I have no idea why I am so worked up about this test, we do not have any family history of it and I am young and healthy so the doctor says the chances are slim. However the pregnant dreams of having a non healthy baby are becoming to much to handle so I will be excited when this is over. 3 more days!!!!

I think it has finally hit me that I am 16 weeks pregnant and I am actually going to have a baby. I bought a pack and play probably about a month and a half ago here is a pic of it
The only reason why I bought it so early was because I got it SUPER cheap at Babies R us. I obviously had to set it up right away because I am a control freak. So up it went as soon as it came out of the box, and I didn't stop there, it had to be put right beside the bed because we are going to use this as a co-sleeper for the first month or so. While its beside the bed it is currently being used nicely as a night stand, and is filled with my sweatpants, hair ties, water cups, trailmix... whatever I need in the middle of the night is in there. So to visualize a baby in there in 5 months is pretty funny to me

Little Things in Life

Over the weekend I decided to celebrate being passed my 2nd trimester by getting my nails done!!! As soon as I sat in the chair the first thing the nail tech said to me was "Your fingers look like little boy" Oh thanks. They honestly know how to say just the right thing to lift your spirits up!

~Happy Monday!!

15 weeks! Pants are tight

Happy Tuesday! What a long weekend it was, not sure what it is about being pregnant but people seem to think you need "practice" watching children so they ask you to babysit. Now don't get confused I don't mind at all but back to back children watching when all you want to do is sleep is exhausting. Anyway I wanted to introduce you to my first baby. This is Tybee, he is 8lbs of cuteness!! Little does he know his brother or sister that is on the way will be a HUGE wake up call for him, he basically runs the house.

I thought this ultrasound picture was the best thing I have ever seen. Not only because its my baby but because it is so distinctive and the little he/she is waving! Super adorable. This picture was taken right around 12 weeks. I just couldn't believe this little bean had grown and developed so much.

How far along? 15 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: +3 pounds. Belly is there just no weight? Even though I feel like a whale I haven't gained the weight

Maternity clothes? None yet. There are no jeans I can fit into, its strickly leggings and jeggins.

Stretch marks? Nope:)
Sleep: Im a baby I am seriously asleep DEAD asleep by 9pm. They said that once your out of your first tri that the energy comes back. Nope not here.
Best moment this week: Finally not having food aversions.

Have you told family and friends: Yes :)

Miss Anything? Wine, Sushi, Working Out being active, Feta, BEER... it goes on and on.

Movement: Not that I know of, they said its like bubbles which I have had but not sure how to tell between that or hunger pains.
Food cravings: Sparking water EVERYDAY, green olives, cheese!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not anymore:)
Have you started to show yet: Yes belly is here! Roberto says that its cute but I have obviously had breakdowns about it

Gender prediction: Girl at first now thinking boy

Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? Good one!

Happy or Moody most of the time: I think I am fine, Roberto already had the "sit down" talk with me regarding being nicer to my mom and him HA

Weekly Wisdom: Relax and enjoy pregnancy. I am a serious planner and worrier so learning how to relax and enjoy the moment has been the most difficult thing so far.

Looking forward to: Cant wait to find out what baby V is! Driving me insane!

What I would give for one of these bad boys

Blog Start for REAL this time:)

Well I started my blog back in January and did nothing with it became super busy and super addicted to stalking other peoples blogs, I decided I better get back on the blogging wagon.I basically started this blog to track my pregnancy. I see so many super cute blogs with outfits and fashion stuff well to be honest Im not super fashionable I like to think I am time to time, so there will be a few pics of my outfits here and there as well.

We announced to our family and friends with a Chalkboard, I found it on Pinterest and was super excited to let everyone know of the little bean brewing.
Announcement photo Feb 14, 2012
Everyone was super excited, even though I was basically biting all my nails off as soon as I hit upload on facebook. I thought I was seriously going to go into a panic attack, the one where you need a brown paper bag and need to stay in the fetal position. Once the news hit facebook my fears of being a non married (girl with the boyfriend) pregnant white girl finally went away. So then decided it would be fun to track the adventure and everything my body is going through on a blog:) lucky you guys!

Chalkboard pic #2

One of my best friends B told me to do the chalkboard only when the baby was a funny fruit or when there was an important day (finding out the sex, picking out a name etc). She also told me to spare everyone on facebook of all the baby bump pictures (thanks). A peach really isnt a funny fruit but I was way to excited to start making my 2nd board that I couldnt wait. So there it is.

14 Weeks!

Well there it is, baby bump and our un-made bed in the background (embarrassing) Baby bump has finally decided to make its appearance.

Now that I overloaded with 3 baby picture I will stop for today:)

Have a good weekend~~
