37 weeks FULL term

Weeks 37-Delivery (Month 9): Watermelon

Average size: 18.9-20.9 in, 6.2-9.2 lb Full term! Baby's finally ready for the outside world...

I have made it to full term!!!! I am actually 37 weeks and 4 days, so closer to 38 which is CRAZY to me. I went to my appointment on Tuesday, I am almost 3CM dilated, they put me on bed rest since last Wed hoping for the blood pressure to drop. It did not. I was then asked by my doctor if I was having any headaches, which I have started having since Saturday, without any question or discussion she said "Ok your going to the hospital" I was admitted over night and had to collect my urine for 24 hours to trace for protein. All the blood work came back negative for Pre-E and I am assuming the urine is okay because they discharged me a little before my 24 hour stay. I am home now, and let me just share with you all staying over in the hospital is NOT a good time. I know we will have to do it when the baby arrives but doing it now was awful, I just kept counting my blessings because some women were there for 4 weeks or more!! So now that I am home I am stuck on strict bedrest until I deliver.

There is alot of this going on at my house....

So at 39 weeks my doctor and I will make a plan on induction since the blood pressure is not wanting to corporate.

I have been watching alot of TV and I mean ALOT. Obviously Honey Boo Boo has been all over everyones blogs lately

And what everyone is saying about the show is 100% completely true. I honestly can not believe a family acts and lives like this, it is probably the best and worst thing I have ever watched. If you haven't tuned it for Honey Boo Boo I would highly recommend it, most amazing train wreck ever.

I am pretty much obsessed with reading all my mommy blogs baby stories and seeing how they went into labor, what they went through, ect. This show has become my new obsession and boy oh boy do I cry when that little bambino comes out! I am seriously going to be a mess when mine is born if I cant even watch someone else go through it...my poor nurses and doctor!

Bedrest

It's official I am on bed rest! Yuck! I had my doctors appointment on Wednesday and they checked my blood pressure 3 times and also drew blood to test for preeclampsia. Also found out I am still only 2CM dilated, not changes...womp womp...

Blood pressure was still high so the doctor said she wanted me pulled out of work and do "relaxing" things. Yesterday was my first day "relaxing" and I already know this is going to drive me crazy. Sitting in bed watching TV all day can really do a number on someone especially when they are in the nesting phase, let's just say I got put on time out from Roberto via a phone call while he was at work. I watched 6 episodes of A Baby Story and sappy me cried on every single delivery, these hormones are really out of whack these days.

Good news the blood work came back and I in fact do not have preeclampsia! Also good news, work decided that since this is due to medical reasons they are putting me on short term disability, so these few weeks until the baby guy arrives is not cutting into my Maternity leave! I know I should really take this time to enjoy time to myself before the baby arrives but I just feel myself getting more and more stir crazy.

Any advice on things to do while "relaxing"? Im not officially on bed rest I am just not allowed to go crazy like I have been. So thats the latest update on my life, nothing to exciting at all to blog about.

36 weeks!

He's still in the 17.2- to 18.7-inch and 4.2- to 5.8-pound range and continues to beef up.

GAH! A Honeydew melon!!!!! No wonder I cant get out of bed in the middle of the night anymore. 5.8lbs... well seeings how he was 5lbs about 3 weeks again I'm gonna guess he is in the 6-7 range-This kid is seriously taking ALL of his mommas energy. I have reached a new stage of uncomfortable... which if anyone cares SUCKS. I feel like all I do is complain now and it doesnt matter if I am sitting on the fluffiest of clouds I will still complain. We went to a wedding this passed weekend and I could feel myself hate starring on all the girls in pretty dresses gorgeous heels with a cocktail in their hands. Needless to say I just want to wear a pair of frickin heels again and move around like a normal person!

On a more positive note all I have been thinking about lately is our newborn photo shoot... I am SO excited! Pinterest obviously has some amazing ideas... here are some I am obsessing over!!

Never ever did we think that in 5 more months this would be us

We are so blessed and excited!!!

I had my doctors appointment yesterday and I am 2CM dilated!!!! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! 

I had the Group B strep test done, and she then started my first exam, and I think someone should have warned me how freakin painful this is. She is not a gentle creature by any means holy moly. Anyway she was doing the exam and said "His head is right there" I asked if he had dropped (stupid question lace) she said Yes he has dropped alright, he is very low and you are 2CM dilated and 50% effaced. She also said that if she were to take an educated guess based on his position I would have a quick and easy labor. ANGELS SANG!

Bad news- My blood pressure is super high and I have a lot of swelling. If this doesn't drop by next week she is pulling me out of work ...which would mean my maternity leave starts... which would mean I would NOT be a happy camper! So lets keep my friend "bloodpressure" in our prayers for the next week and hope he goes down so this doesn't happen.
