35 weeks- Nursery Reveal

35 weeks 5 weeks to go! I can finally say we have finished everything! I have 5 weeks to myself, to just relax enjoy the last few weeks of being pregnant and enjoying every moment I have for myself. Reaching 35 weeks is a huge milestone to me and I'm so happy we are a month away from meeting our little boy! However it has brought on some AWFUL symptoms. First off all... swelling... I knew I would swell but having loafs of bread for feet and ankles is NOT my idea of a good time. I ice them almost every night and nothing seems to work. Second of all emotions, nesting... took on a whole new level these past few weeks. I like to think now that everything is finished I can relax but I know this isn't happening.

How far along? 35 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 35 lbs gained
Maternity clothes? Nothing new- bought more maxi dresses so I can wear them after the babe too, I hear they are super comfy for post pregnancy.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Awful. I get up 3-4 times a night to pee, I cant get comfortable, switching position is now a full time job basically, Roberto has to legit roll me over I dread going to bed.
Best moment this week: Getting everything done!
Miss Anything? Being able to bend over normally, and sleep!!! I require ALOT of sleep but I guess this is just preparing me for the first few months with a newborn.
Movement: Slowing down now, he just sticks his body parts out I basically have to massage them out because they hurt so bad.
Food cravings: STRAWBERRY anything! My new kick is strawberry yogurt cheerios!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really
Have you started to show yet: A little;-)
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: None! I am starting to bounce on my ball every night, take long walks and start to "induce labor naturally" soon ya'll know what that means Roberto is super excited.
Belly Button in or out? Outtie
Wedding rings on or off? Even if I had one I'm sure it would be off
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, Anxious, emotions are taking a toll on me, Im starting to get real bad anxiety and getting more nervous
Looking forward to: Meeting the little man!!!

                                                                            Landon's Nursery

I am so happy with how everything turned out- we worked so hard and its finally finished!!! I spend most of my time in the rocker just looking around taking everything in, it is so surreal to me that there will be an actual baby in here soon...deep breaths!

Today I am linking up with Becky  From Mrs. to Mama for an amazing link up- cant wait to see what everyone has posted and meet some new bloggy bests!!!

1. How long have you been blogging? And what got you started on blogging? Has your blog changed?

I have been blogging for a few short months, started officially in February- basically to document my pregnancy so I have something to look back on- then realized that there are so many interesting amazing people out there and have become slightly obsessed with blogging and reading others blogs.

2. Did you go to college? If so where, and what did you study?

Yep- Lasell College in Newton MA... studied Marketing and somehow I am working in Insurance now?!

3. Where have you traveled?

Sadly I have never been out of the country!  Never had a passport. Sad life I live. I have basically been to every state in the US but never left. BOO!

4. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?

First thing? oh boy... probably a vacation of some sort- I am due in 7 weeks so I know I couldnt go far but I would fly to Cali to be with my best friend for awhile I have never been to San Francisco and I know it would be a blast!

5. What are your 3 biggest pet peeves?

1.People who complain constantly... give it a rest you never know if there will be tomorrow
2. Children that are misbehaved and the parents do not do anything to correct them
3. Chewing with your mouth open- especially when eating chips or crunchy things

6. What is your favorite movie?

The Notebook- I have 3 copies of the DVD
7. What is your drink of choice; wine, beer, or liquor. Or Water, Soda, Tea?

Being pregnant I have LOVED sparkling water or just plain water with lemon.
I am a sucker for Diet Coke too, I know its terrible for you but fountain diet coke is a bit of problem for me
Non pregnant I am a straight beer and wine girl. Wine is Merlot or any type of red. Beer is Miller Lite all night long OR Sam Summer during the summer and Shipyard Pumpkin during the fall:)

9. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be?

Nordstrom or Marshalls. A place with variety- you can get some home good things, clothes, shoes, handbags.. my kind of place!

11. What day would you love to relive again?

I know when my son is born I will say that day- but for now I have to stick to college days- no day in particular just college itself- it really was the best time of my life.

12. If your life was turned into a movie... what actor would play you?

Rachel McAdams- because I am obsessed with her
13. What are the jobs you had in high school/college/the early years?

In highschool I worked at an icecream parlor called Giffords in Maine
In college I was a waitress pretty much all 4 years I tried retail at Hollister and that last 1 day

14. Show us a picture from high school or college.

College- Junior Year! Living the dream!

15. If you could travel anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go?

Tough one but it would have to be Costa Rica- waterfalls, volcanoes, blue water, and amazing weather:)

33 weeks- weekend recap!

I seriously hate Mondays. They suck. Anyway... we had our last ultrasound appointment on Friday. The baby looks "perfect" as the nurse said. He is a total of... wait for it... 5lbs! ALREADY! So she described him as "average" but a "robust average" little porker is calculating to weigh mid to upper 8s when he is born. Now she did also say it is better to have a big baby they tend to eat and sleep much better, but the thought of pushing him out at that weight made momma a tad bit nervous. The doctor said she has no doubts in me  but we want to keep an eye on his weight for a vaginal birth.

On Saturday we had Roberto's friends sons 1 year old birthday party. Seriously take a look at this munchkin

I cant even deal with the face and the super adorable red hair! Everyone bought little fun plastic toys you know stuff that a 1 year old would enjoy... us... we bought him this
probably not necessary for a 1 year old but obviously it was the best gift there, lets be serious.

The rest of Saturday and Sunday was spent on the lake boating and enjoying adult beverages (I had a 6 pack of seltzer dont worry) here are a few pics

Mom and Daddy 33 weeks

Little (not so little anymore) brother Dallas
Me and Amanda- shes a nurse always great to have one of those on board!

When I was a kid...

It goes without saying my son will grow up with some of the most amazing technology, games, and gadgets that ever excised. I'm sure you all remember me saying that I did not get a cell phone until Junior year in highschool... ladies here was the phone:

There was absolutely NO texting, angry birds, words with friends, nothing... this bad boy basically called my mom and dad and occasionally there was a game of snake. I wanted to dedicate this post to a few things that were basically DA BOMB when I was a kid.

Oregon Trail:

Was this not the best game ever when you were in 4-5th grade? I can remember getting so excited to go to computer class just so we could play Oregon Trail.

Donkey Kong:

Umm hello- best game of all time- also played on that wonderful Super Nintendo- me and my brother would fight for hours on whos turn it was. My favorite was the rollercoaster barrel level, super fun.

ICQ:

Oh boy did this cause alot of problems in highschool. For started we had the good old dial up internet where it took an eternity to get started also while sounding like you were sitting right beside an airplane taking off. Then when it finally got connected your mom or dad would yell at you to get off so they could make a phone call.

UPGRADE- College Time AOL:

This obviously was a big hit in college, you HAD to have this- and make sure that all your friends were under the right category and labeled such as: "Girlies, Chicka's" etc. I even went so far to have a "Hate" category. Away messages were KEY! You posted everything you were doing they went like this. "class. lunch. class. class. class. dinner. THIRSTY THURSDAY. cells on hit me up!" Also make sure that your profile had the corniest of all corny quotes in there written in HOT pink along with a shot out to your boyfriend. PLEASE dont forget him because that could cause alot of problems.

Little throw back Tuesday for everyone:)

32 Weeks- 8 to go!

Stretch marks? None
Sleep: Still okay, cant complain but my little mind is racing and I find myself waking up around 3am and thinking about everything, dreams are getting weirder
Best moment this week: Finishing the nursery! Well 95% complete I just have to tie the bumper on and paint a side table- pics to come soon:)
Miss Anything? Same as before, I cant wait until I get sit in a chair without severe back pain
Movement: Movements now are rolling, or nudging out. He curls to one side and lays there making my right side pop out and hurt really bad :) little bugger
Food cravings: Nothing particular, I am not on to fruit or popsicles, probably because of the heat but they taste really yummy

Looking forward to: Childbirth classes start Tuesday:) I cant wait to see daddy Roberto in full effect!

We purchased this picture and it has the BEST life quote I have ever heard... reads:

Life is not a race- but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say “thank you”, “I love you” and “great job” to someone each day. Go to church, take time for prayer. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Love your life and what you’ve been given, it is not accidental- search for your purpose and do it as best you can. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to be. Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming. Forgive, it frees the soul. Take time for yourself- plan for longevity. Recognize the special people you’ve been blessed to know. Live for today, enjoy the moment.

We put it in the nursery and it looks amazing, it is right above the changing table and I will read it whenever times get tough and need a pick me up, I think we should all take something from it and learn to relax and carry on. I cant wait to teach the little man these precious little things in life.

Wedding Season/Babe News

When we got invited to Roberto's friends wedding back in Feb I thought great I'm going to be 31 weeks pregnant, sober, and not comfortable...I am happy to report to you all a sober wedding is really not that bad after all. However the fact that it was open bar and we were seated right next to it was not as much fun.
Bartender buddy had alot of fun pouring my soda water with limes every 10 minutes thats for sure.

Baby Landon was the hit at the wedding. Everyone wanted to know every little detail there was about being pregnant and whenever he would move they wanted to be the first to feel it.

In Baby News:

31 Weeks 9 weeks to go

That's in my stomach now. If anyone wants to go grocery shopping tonight and pick one up, feel it, study it... I highly recommend it. If you don't and you actually haven't picked up a real pineapple in awhile I am here to tell you it is not as small as you all think. Its big and heavy.

Symptoms: My back is pretty much shot. I am not comfortable in ANY position.
I make a lot of weird noises when I move around at night
Getting out of bed now consists of "rolling out" legit
My feet are swelling and now going numb
I have the "pregnancy mask" under my arms (which is better than on my face I guess)
I can't breath... like ever.
My anxiety is in full circle, I never feel like I can calm down
Hormones are back (sorry Roberto)
I have officially inherited the dreaded waddle- Thanks mom for pointing it out

Baby: You are so big now that your movements now consist of pushing your butt, head, leg, arms (not sure what body part it is) against my stomach making one side look very deformed. You got the hiccups for the first time Friday night, I didn't think that I would know when these were actually happening but you can totally tell, it truly does feel like there is something inside you that has the hiccups, I wish your dad was home so he could see it. We are both very excited to meet you and we have an overwhelming amount of love for you already, I just ask that you stay put until full term then you can come out anytime.
